Middle Valley Church of Christ - Sinner's Welcome
Minister James Arlie (Jim) Clements Jr., 77, died in his sleep at his home in Hixson on March 10, 2011. He spent his life serving his Lord, preaching for 63 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Greater Chattanooga Christian Services and the Martin-Boyd Christian Home and his family would be honored for contributions to either in lieu of flowers. He established the Middle Valley Church of Christ in 1968 filling the pulpit and the offices of Treasurer, Trustee, and Elder. He was preceded in death by his mother Ollie and father Arlie Clements and siblings Dean, John, and Wallace Clements, and Shirley Matherley. He is survived by his wife Doris, daughter Polly Boyd (and Paul) and grandson Patrick Boyd and siblings Ben, Jerry, and Larry Clements, Madge Lockhart, Betty Crawley, Dorothy Yasko, and Lane Hall. Visitation, 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday 3-11-2011 and Service, 11:00 on Saturday, 3/12/2011 will be at the Williamson and Sons Funeral Home on Dayton Pike in Soddy Daisy. Interment will be at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.
